Press-conference on the First International Muslim Magomaev Vocalist Contest

Press-conference on the First  International Muslim Magomaev  Vocalist Contest took place        in the ITAR-TASS Agency  on the 8th of September.

This new musical project named after the outstanding singer will take place in Moscow on the 23d and 24th of October in “Crocus City Hall” and will be devoted to the memory of Muslim Magomaev.  The Press-conference was held by the organizers and members of the jury of the unique vocalist contest: Magomev’s  widow ,  People’s   Actress of the USSR,  Soloist of the Bolshoi Tamara Sinyavskaya,  People” Actress   of Russia and Georgia singer Tamara Gvertzitely,   People’ Actor of the USSR,  composer Alexei Rybnikov,  and founder of the Muslim Magomaev  Musical and Cultural Heritage Fund, President of the ZAO “CROCUS” Aras Agalarov.  At the press-conference Tamara Sinyavskaya  informed the Jury that among  the members of the authoritative Jury there also would be People’s Actress of the USSR, soloist of the Bolshoi Elena Obrazstova,  People’s  Actor of the USSR, conductor  Jury Bashmet,    People’s Actor of the USSR and Azerbaijan,  rector of the Baku Musical Academy Farhkad Badaibaily,  and French composer Michelin Legrant.
To take part in the Contest are invited vocalists having special musical education who are ready to submit  for  the Jury works of both classical opera and variety arts. As Tamara Sinyavskaya said : “Our task is to keep the level set by Muslim”.
The idea of the Contest appeared a year ago when the first anniversary of the death of Muslim Magimetovich was marked. “And now it is coming into life. I hope the Contest will become a festival of vocalist  art which will present to the public new names and talents.”-added the singer.
The Winners of the Contest will get monetary awards of up to thirty thousand dollars and an opportunity to take part in performances (concerts) on  best scenes of the country.
