A Monument to Muslim Magomaev Appeared in the Centre of Moscow.

On the 15 of September  2011 a monument to an outstanding  Soviet,  Azerbaijan and Russian singer  Muslim Magomaev was solemnly  unveiled in the centre of Moscow.

The Monument  created by the People’s Artist of Russia,  member of the presidential Committee on culture Alexandr   Rukavishnikov is installed in the small garden on the crossing of Vosnesenskyi and Eliseev bystreets, not far from the house where the great musician lived and created  his works.  The monument was unveiled thanks to the  support of the Muslim Magomaev  Musical and Cultural Heritage Fund Founded by the president of ZAO “CROCUS” Aras Agalarov. Many people took part in the solemn ceremony: widow of the great musician,  People’s Actress of the USSR, soloist of the Bolshoi Tamara Sinyavskaya,  Vice-mayor of Moscow on social policy Lyudmila Shvetsova,  Minister of culture and tourism of the Azerbaijan Republic  Abulfas Karaev,  author of the architectural-sculptural ensemble devoted to Muslim Magomaev  Aleksander  Rukavishnikov,  People’s Actress of the USSR Elena Obraztsova,  and also close friends and admirers of Magomaev’s talent Aras and Emin Agalarovs,  actor  Evgenii Gerasomov, singer Larisa Dolina, TV reporter Juri  Nikolaev, singer Bedros  Kirkorov,  president of the Geidar  Aliev Fund Lela Alieva and many others. The monument  was unveiled by Ludmila Shvetsova and Aras Agalarov, who cut a traditional red band.  The whole ceremony was directed by  People’ Actor of Russia Svyatoslav Belsa.
“ With all my soul I greet everybody who keep in their hearts the memory about Muslim.-said Magomaev’s widow singer Tamara Sinyavskaya.-“I deeply thank all the people who put their hearts, strength and monetary means into creation of this splendid  monument. On the 17th of August 1942 the God presented us with Muslim and like a kind fairy made him a generous gift of a huge  beautiful bag of talents.  His whole life Muslim kept these talent and generously shared them with people around him. I know many people all over the world who remember him, listen to his songs,  and enjoy his talents till now. We met each other and fell in love with each other and then happened what happened – Muslin raised to the heaven. I know that now  he  is looking at us from the above and stays with us forever. He has gone to that very blue eternity he wrote about in his song.
Several hundred admirers of the great singer gathered  in a quiet corner of a small garden in the centre of Moscow and the granite pedestal of Magomaev’s monument was all covered with flowers just in a few minutes after the unveiling.
