II International Muslim Magomaev Vocalist Contest

II International Muslim Magomaev Vocalist Contest will be held in Moscow on the 20 and 21 of October, 2012 on the stage of the Crocus City Hall and will be dedicated to 70th anniversary of the birth of the great singer. The uniqueness of the contest, established by The Muslim Magomaev Musical and Cultural Heritage Fund, is that the singers have to show their talent and skill in the performance of both classical and pop repertoire.

 The jury of the II International Vocalist Contest will consist of the leading opera and pop singers, musical theater directors, as well as composers and musicians. The jury will be headed by People's Artist of USSR, the soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre, Professor Tamara Sinyavskaya. The contest will be held in two rounds and will be covered by Russian and foreign media.

Professional singers from 18 to 35 years with special musical education or the students of musical universities and colleges who sent the provisional application - audio and video - to the Organizing Committee will participate in the contest. The deadline for the applications for participation in the II International Contest is April 15, 2012.
