First International Muslim Magomaev Vocalist Contest

On October 23-24 this year in the concert hall of the Crocus City Hall the First International Muslim Magomaev Vocalist Contest will be held. The organizers of the contest - Muslim Magomaev Musical and Cultural Heritage Fund, headed by the widow of the great singer Tamara Sinyavskaya - are inviting all talented singers in the age of 40 years and older, with a special musical training and who are ready to submit a product of classical opera and pop repertoire to the jury to take part in this contest. According to Tamara Sinyavskaya "the biggest challenge of the contest –is keep that bar, which was set by Muslim".

The jury of the contest will include world-famous cultural figures such as - People's Artist of USSR, Bolshoi Theatre soloist, Professor Tamara Sinyavskaya, People's Artist of USSR, Bolshoi Theatre soloist, Professor Elena Obraztsova, People's Artist of Russia and Georgia, singer, composer Tamara Gverdtseteli, People's Artist of Russia, Professor and conductor Yuri Bashmet, People's Artist of Russia, professor and composer Alexey Rybnikov, People's Artist of USSR, Professor, Rector of Baku Music Academy Farhad Badalbeyli, and composer from France Michel Legrand.

Grand Prix of the contest will be 30 thousand dollars; the first prize is 15 thousand dollars, the second prize is 10 thousand dollars, and the third is 5000 dollars. Depending on the results achieved by the contestants of the jury has the right not to award all prizes and awards and to divide all the prizes between the performers, except for the Grand Prix.

Competitive performances will be accompanied by the symphony orchestra in a live singing and instrumental performance. The second round will be ended with a gala concert, featured by the contestants.
