Entire country remembers Muslim on his anniversary.
From early morning admirers of Muslim Magometovich’s talent carried flower bouquets to his monument in Moscow at the intersection of Eliseevsky and Voznesensky lanes. Muslim Magomaev’s friends came to honor his memory, including Svetlana Morgunova, Lubov Sliska and his colleague Zaur Tutov. Magomaev’s widow Tamara Sinyavskaya, as always, spent this day in Baku, Muslim’s hometown. “Muslim used to always say that Azerbaijan was his father and Russia was his mother. By our long-standing tradition, I always spend his birthday in Baku, where many of his friends and relatives live,” said Tamara Ilinichna. Muslim Magomaev is remembered and respected by people living in different cities and countries, but they all share one thing which is great and boundless love for the artist’s talent. He became a legend during his life, and still remains the only singer in the world with a unique and inimitable voice, able to perform both pop and classical pieces.

Welcome to the website of the Muslim Magomaev Musical and Cultural Heritage Fund. On the pages of this website you’ll be able to get acquainted with projects that are planned to be implemented by the Fund. One of the key goals is to prepare and hold the International Contest for Vocal Singers named after M. Magomaev. The starting point of this idea was M. Magomaev Memorial Evening held on 25 October 2009 on the stage of the most modern concert hall — Crocus City Hall built by his friend Aras Agalarov in the memory of Muslim. The idea of this music project appeared absolutely naturally. There are many contests for vocal singers in the world but none of them combines participation of singers capable to perform both classical repertoire and modern pop music. This is what Muslim Magomaev successfully combined in his work. On our website you will find information on the Contest, international jury and contestants.
